It’s time for the small and medium-sized enterprises to join the circular economy

The concept of circular economy contains enormous potential for society and corporations by reducing the environmental impact of production, reducing cost, and creating new business opportunities.

To help realize this potential, a new, EU supported project, C-VoUCHER, aims to support the development of new supply chains and business models based on circular economy. The primary target group is SMEs across Europe.

Five industrial sectors are in focus in the project: agriculture/food, health, maritime, textiles, and manufacturing.

MADE is a partner in the project as one of the Danish innovation environments and will help identify manufacturing challenges, possibilities and solutions related to circular economy.

In C-VoUCHER, 24 SMEs are chosen to join a process of developing and testing of new, innovative solutions based on principles of circular economy and with the use of new technologies such as blockchain, additive manufacturing, big data etc.

The solutions and models developed in the project will then be disseminated to 42 other SMEs with similar challenges or needs regarding the development of supply chains and business models for the circular economy.
